Mike offers consultations for small, medium, and large growers. His consulting philosophy is ‘regenerative’ using holistic principles and practices that include organic, biodynamic, KNF, and other ecologically focused philosophies for apples, pears, stone fruit, “other” tree fruit, small fruit, and grapes.
He works and farms with regenerative and holistic practices that help create a healthy resilient agricultural environment with reverence for all life. With over 40 years’ experience as a grower and consultant, his capacity for helping novice farmers get started, developing revitalization and management plans, solving problems without the use of toxic chemicals and fertilizers, and transitioning to holistic farming practices is unparalleled.
How do you get started?
Option A. Online/Remote. Growers (you) purchase consulting time here (see below "Add to Cart" button). We’ll schedule Zoom calls to conduct the actual consultation, but will use email and other means to communicate and send information back and forth.
Option B. Out-of-Region/Small Growers. Seasonal consultations beginning in March and running through August. Weekly prescheduled Zoom calls up to 1-hour call per week, all calls are via Zoom. Pricing is $2100 invoiced in mid-February. Unused time per call is banked for later use. If we go over the allocated time in any session, the extra time is subtracted from the following week’s call or billed at regular consulting rates.
Option C. Seasonal Contracts. For growers in New York, principally the Finger Lakes, Catskills, or Hudson Valley, seasonal on-site consulting arrangements are available. Arrangements are quoted per grower and based on service expectations and requirements, and travel. This is a full-service consulting program. Please contact me for specific services provided and to provide a custom quote.
